John Thie Launches Touch For Health Professional Practitioner Programme

On June 22nd 2004 Dr. John Thie and his wife Carrie travelled to Wales to give their last ever presentation on Touch for Health in Europe!

During the evening reception in the Miskin Manor Country Hotel John Thie joined Sandy Gannon and Hazel Miller of Kinesiology Training to launch the new Touch for Health Professional Practitioner Programme .

The Programme extends all the basic concepts of Touch for Health and focuses on developing the individual to Professional level. It has recently been accepted by the Kinesiology Federation as a new route for students to train as professional Kinesiologists whilst still keeping the exciting TFH synthesis as their core protocol.

We were especially delighted to have Dr. John Thie, as the founder of Touch for Health, to officially launch and celebrate the creation of this pioneering programme with us.

John gave a highly entertaining and practical presentation which started with him inviting someone from the audience with very little Touch for Health knowledge to balance him!

He highlighted the importance of self responsibility and showed how easy it can be to guide another willing person through the Touch for Health balance process. There is really no excuse now for any of us not getting a balance when we need one!

He continued the evening by balancing a number of volunteers from the audience.

With his very effective and unique style he guided them through the goal setting process and continued to balance them using metaphors.

These are questions or statements for the individual to think about in relation to their goal which are based on the physiology or qualities of muscles, organs, meridians or elements.

The members of the audience who participated received help with a variety of issues including physical pain and emotional blocks.

The presentation concluded with John demonstrating how a surrogate can be used to balance a group of other individuals towards their own specific goals whilst they remain around the room in their seats!

This rounded off a fantastic and inspirational presentation, the last of its kind from John in Europe! .

The evening event was held at the beautiful Miskin Manor Country Hotel just outside Cardiff. Set in stunning grounds, the main house and minstrel hall provided a very stylish place To meet.

Musical entertainment was provided by a string quartet from the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra.

Over a hundred people joined together in Wales to experience John's last European presentation and find out about the latest Touch for Health developments and resources such as Touch for Health Student Worksheets.

It was also a great opportunity for everybody to catch up with old friends and meet fellow practitioners, students and instructors from all around the UK.

Hazel, Tamsyn and Karen, the team of Touch For Health Instructors from Bristol who had the honour of organising the event are also looking forward to welcoming back Matthew Thie (John Thie's 3rd son) in September of this year.

The 4 day Metaphor and Goal Setting course was a huge success last year and Matthew will once again guide the group through the development and use of metaphors and goal setting to facilitate the balance process, assisting individuals to reach their potential.

John and Matthew have developed this latest addition to the wonderful TFH synthesis together and if you would like to experience this work first hand, this is the ideal course in which to explore….so why not come and join us!!!

Testimonials

"I was fascinated to learn more about John's work and see more of how positive the effects can be"

Vicky Robinson - TFH Student

"I was very priveleged to spend an evening with John and Carrie Thie on June 22nd. We had the opportunity to watch John work and ask him questions, we were also able to socialize with John and Carrie.

To watch John receive a balance from a member of the audience with no muscle testing experience was amazing! John then went on to give the volunteer a balance using mainly metaphors and spinal reflexes!
"
